As Engineering Director of ACRO China, Gordon Li Guomin has responsibility for engineering management and technical innovation for ACRO aircraft seat components in China, reporting directly to Acro CEO, Neil Cairns.

Gordon joined Tiancheng Controls in August 2020 as Composites Business Unit Director, contributing to both TC and Acro valuable expertise and experience gained over 25 years working at a senior level in automotive seating systems, interiors and composites for prestigious organisations including FAW, JCI, Lear and NBHX in China.

In his current role, Gordon who is leading the Acro China team in the development of several highly significant NPD projects has already launched smoothly and to considerable acclaim two carbon fiber composite aircraft seat backs. He divides his time between the Acro facility in Shanghai and Tiancheng Control’s composites plant in Tiantai (Zhejiang region).

Bi-lingual in Mandarin and English, Gordon has a Material Engineering undergraduate degree and Computer Engineering Masters and MBA education from three universities: Wuhan University of Technology, The University of Science & Technology in Beijing and JiLin University.

A keen traveller, in his spare time, Gordon also enjoys immersing himself in Chinese culture and has particular interest in the study of calligraphy and porcelain.
