Based in Acro’s Shanghai office and reporting directly to the company’s CEO, Elaine oversees engineering, purchasing and sales.

She brings to her senior role a deep understanding across the entire breadth of the industrial chain of regulations, markets, products, materials and processes, gained in a range of demanding roles in the commercial aircraft seating industry over 11 years.

Her professional track record includes a five-year stint with a start-up aircraft seating business in China, driving CAAC (CTSOA) certification for an economy class seat for single-aisle commercial aircraft and a floatable seat cushion. She also launched the line-fit qualifications and assessment processes for the ARJ21-700 passenger seat with COMAC.

A Material Engineering graduate of Shanghai University of Engineering & Technology, Elaine also holds an MBA from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics and is bi-lingual in Mandarin and English.

Outside business hours, Elaine gives rein to creativity and imagination as an enthusiastic fan of Star Trek and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
