Andrew Clemow – Supply Chain Director

Andrew Clemow, former British Airways and Emirates Manager Procurement has joined Acro Aircraft Seating as Supply Chain Director.

Andrew brings with him specialist expertise gained during 16 years with British Airways and, most recently, during a nine-year spell with Emirates. His extensive experience includes completing sourcing programs for a variety of Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE), including aircraft seats and galleys. He was also responsible for the acquisition of aircraft engineering design and certification services, powerplant maintenance repair and overhaul services, avionics equipment and ground handling services.

Speaking of this key appointment, Neil Cairns, CEO of Acro, said: “Managing our supply chain, sourcing and managing suppliers that share Acro’s ethos is key to our growth strategy. Having someone of Andrew’s calibre leading our supply chain function will be pivotal to enable Acro to scale up and build on our reputation as being an agile and innovative company.

At Acro, Andrew will assume the strategic and operational responsibility for the company’s global supply chain. He will drive performance improvements across the supply chain function, in particular addressing materials costs and improving parts availability, as well as securing improvements to supplier performance and relationships through the establishment of long-term agreements.

A fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and a graduate of the University of Essex, Andrew has relocated to his native Northamptonshire to take on this post at Acro’s headquarters in Crick.
