ACRO welcomes new CEO

Acro Aircraft Seating is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Leese-Wood as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Chris joined Acro on 28th January 2019 and brings with him over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, holding Engineering, Project Management and Commercial positions at BAE Systems and Cobham. Prior to joining Acro, Chris was Managing Director at AIM Composites for five years where he was involved in a number of significant cabin interior programmes.

Acro has designed, certified and manufactured over 130,000 seats for more than 300 aircraft, with installations on Boeing, Airbus, Saab, Fokker and ATR aircraft. The company currently serves more than 35 airlines throughout the world and has worked on seating programmes for Thomas Cook Airlines Group, Air New Zealand, Hawaiian Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Viva Colombia, Volotea and Nordwind amongst others.

At the end of 2017, ACRO was acquired by the Zhejiang Tiancheng Group and as well as it’s UK head office, the company has offices in China, Singapore and Miami.
