Andy brings to the role of Operations Director 27 years of wide-ranging manufacturing experience gained at senior level across Automotive, Defense, Medical, F1 Motorsports, Instrumentation (Gas Detection), Ground Space Communication and Aerospace.
Well-versed in managing high volume operations and large workforces, with a particular focus on learning & development and operational change, Andy will be responsible for leading Acro’s Operations and Production activities and for driving the company’s strategic vision.
Under his leadership, the cross-functional engineering team at Acro will be encouraged to harness lean methodologies and to streamline product design to achieve enhanced manufacturability and agility.
His career already demonstrates considerable success in lean implementation and volume increase exercises, in the UK and overseas, on behalf of such high-profile companies as Honda, BMW, Meggitt Aerospace and Collins Aerospace (formerly B\E Aerospace). Of particular note was recent work undertaken in The Philippines supporting volume increase for new production lines for an Airbus A350 program for Galleys and stowages. Andy successfully completed a similar task in China some years prior, whilst working in gas detection.
A Mechanical Engineering Graduate of Oxford Brookes University, Andy makes the most of precious spare time working on his allotment and trying to master the art of home-brewing.
