Acro Aircraft Seating, the UK based aircraft passenger seats manufacturer, has been honoured in this year’s Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
The award rewards the growth and enterprise of companies across the UK and it is regarded as the most prestigious business award in the country and 2015 marks its 50th anniversary. The entry process is rigorous and highly competitive, with a success rate of around 20% each year. The winners are announced annually on 21st April, the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.
Acro Aircraft Seating is among the regional companies recognised for international trade, thanks to the growth of its export earnings by 1682% over the last three years and the commercial success within the aircraft seating sector.
The Queen’s award is not the only news about Acro in 2015: with an Airbus line-fit program delivery on target for Summer 2015, a new 50,000 sq. ft facility opened close to London Gatwick in December 2014, a new Premium seat unveiled during the recent Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Acro is reshaping the future of the cabin that bestride business and economy with thinner and lighter seats that are designed with comfort and reliability in mind.
