 Key Responsibilities;

  • Take technical ownership for the assigned seating modules and scope out requirements and targets for the project
  • Developing product components and sub-assemblies from concept through to certification and production readiness for a variety of manufacturing processes including composites and plastic moulded components
  • Creating new ideas and investigating alternative materials and manufacturing processes that will always consider weight, cost, robustness and the assembly process
  • Verifying designs through hand calculations and analysis to validate the product effectively
  • Determine and manage priorities, timescales and deadlines and recommend recovery solutions when at deliverables are at risk
  • To work closely with our suppliers on development projects, holding them to account to deliver against agreed deliverables.

 To be successful in this position you will demonstrate; 

  • A Mechanical Engineering or related degree with significant post graduate experience
  • Experience in design and development of plastics, trims and composite structures
  • Strong experience in the use of Catia V5, surfacing experience desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within the aerospace, automotive or rail industry preferred
  • The ability to undertake fundamental engineering hand calculations including stress analysis
  • Experience of product evaluation and structural testing to validate the product against the targets set
  • Sufficient exposure to the latest manufacturing techniques such as composites, injection mouldings, vacuum forming, castings, forgings, extrusions and machined from solid

Reporting into the Head of Finance Operations, you will produce timely and accurate Consolidation Accounts. You will be the key contact and will assist the Head of Finance Operations and CFO in communicating with the Parent Company in China, whilst providing an understanding of the regulatory environment. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and submissions locally and internationally, and will assist with setting up finance departments overseas as part of the Company’s expansion plans. You will actively contribute to raising the quality and standard of financial information, financial behaviour and financial support throughout the business, and will actively participate in the development of the new ERP system.

You will complete the month end process within agreed deadlines for Acro Holdings Ltd, and any associated subsidiaries as required by the business. You will produce monthly group consolidated accounts and will assist in the production of year end consolidated statutory accounts under subsidiary and parent company applicable accounting standards framework.

You will maintain intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting records for Acro Holdings Ltd, and any associated non-trading subsidiaries. You will prepare and post consolidation adjustments, and will prepare group cash flow reporting and forecasting, also assisting with cash flow management and activities associated with the annual audit.

You will monitor and assist in dealing with any transfer pricing issues as a result of intercompany trade, and will maintain the Group chart of accounts, ensuring uniformity and consistency throughout the group. You will assist with documenting and maintaining uniform processes worldwide, taking into account local customs and control environments, and will assist with the development and maintenance of the Delegation of Authority matrix at group level.

You will calculate intercompany recharges and raise intercompany invoices, and will process intercompany invoices received from Parent Company or other companies in the Group. You will ensure that the Group policy on intercompany transactions is in line with the Parent Company and will investigate and resolve intercompany differences.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

• A CCAB Qualified Accountant with good technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Prior experience with Consolidation Accounting.
• Proficient in oral and written Mandarin.
• Experience with Chinese Accounting Standards (will be an advantage).

Reporting into the Lead Certification Engineer, you will undertake a range of certification activities across multiple seating projects and be engaged in structured and thorough problem-solving activities following undesired project outcomes.  Working directly with the authorities, external (A)DOA approved companies, airframe manufacturers and MRO’s (Maintenance and Repair Organisations) to deliver acceptable certification documents, you will complete all required certification activities in line with programme and business requirements, to include static, dynamic, flammability and environmental certification plans and reports.
 
You will compile, review and submit certification and technical publishing documentation, and take responsibility for quality output and timely delivery.  You will compile or verify compliance as appropriate against certification requirements of certification documentation, test plans and reports to meet applicable regulations, guidance material and specifications, and will keep up-to-date with all applicable regulatory and guidance material and interpret for project application.  Developing best practice processes and documentation to support a lean approach to quick turn-around of projects for baseline products, you will also support the generation of CMM’s/SB’s/TR’s/SIL’s to required industry standards with the aid of CAD tools to review the design.

Reporting into the Lead Engineer – Development Build & Test, you will assist with identifying machine tool capability requirements, specification, selection, installation and commissioning of equipment.  You will plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters and will interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).  You will plan stock inventory and will program and set-up mills and lathes.  You will load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position, and will verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. 
  
You will maintain specifications by performing and observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. 
  
You will take responsibility for all aspects of H&S within the machine shop area, and will maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.  You will document and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs, and will support general Development team build and test activities where required.
  
You will update your job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications, and will assist with training in order to ensure continuity of machine shop operation.   
  
To be successful in this position, you will be, have or be able to demonstrate:

  • Practical knowledge of electro-mechanical products assembly would be a plus.
