We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Team Administrator with strong communication skills in Mandarin and English to join our Commercial team!

Reporting into the SVP Sales, you will provide overall administrative support to the Commercial team.  You will provide translation for documents being sent to the shareholder head office, and will create and manage effective administrative systems and processes.  Providing support with the preparation of correspondence and documents, you will act as the first point of contact for internal and external organisations.  You will organise and maintain effective filing systems and provide support in processing expense claims.   You will attend sales meetings and document and manage actions arising from the meetings.  You will collate weekly and monthly sales reports and will ensure the sales pipeline, sales enquiry log and sales funnel are kept up-to-date by the Sales team.  You will support events management and will update Social Media pages for the Marketing Manager.  You will manage POs placed by the Commercial team and will manage the contract renewal schedule for the Bids and Contracts Manager. Booking and organising travel arrangements for the team, you will also manage demo seats and transport arrangements with the Marketing Manager and logistics team. 
  
  
To be successful in this position, you will have or be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Mandarin and English
  • Proven experience as a team administrator/assistant
  • Previous experience in a commercial role
  • Experience of electronic diary management

Key Responsibilities;

  • Take technical ownership for the assigned seating modules and scope out requirements and targets for the project.
  • Developing product components and sub-assemblies from concept through to certification and production readiness for a variety of manufacturing processes including composites and plastic moulded components.
  • Creating new ideas and investigating alternative materials and manufacturing processes that will always consider weight, cost, robustness and the assembly process.
  • Verifying designs through hand calculations and analysis to validate the product effectively.
  • Determine and manage priorities, timescales and deadlines and recommend recovery solutions when at deliverables are at risk.
  • To work closely with our suppliers on development projects, holding them to account to deliver against agreed deliverables.

 
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate;

  • A Mechanical Engineering or related degree with significant post graduate experience.
  • Experience in design and development of plastics, trims and composite structures.
  • Strong experience in the use of Catia V5, surfacing experience desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within the aerospace, automotive or rail industry preferred.
  • The ability to undertake fundamental engineering hand calculations including stress analysis.
  • Experience of product evaluation and structural testing to validate the product against the targets set.
  • Sufficient exposure to the latest manufacturing techniques such as composites, injection mouldings, vacuum forming, castings, forgings, extrusions and machined from solid.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships cross functionally within the business and when mentoring other team members.

As an integral member of the Production Department and reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Team Leader will manage a production cell team in delivering the production plan in order to deliver aircraft seats in line with customer requirements to company quality standards.
  
Key Responsibilities;

  • Agree the weekly plan and ensure delivery dates/parts requirements are communicated and met to ensure delivery of orders on time.
  • Accountability for the final quality of the product leaving the cell.
  • Effectively use Lean tools (5S, Standard Work, Set up Reduction, Visual Management) within the teams to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Maintain lines and production areas in an organised, clean and orderly state.
  • Accountable for the communication, product quality and delivery across production.
  • Control traceability by ensuring paperwork and parts are kept with the correct work order.
  • Effectively communicates inconsistencies/issues relating to safety, quality, personnel, equipment and/or raw/finished goods to the production supervisor.
  • Ensure that there are adequate numbers of skilled team members relative to the production plan by controlling absences and skills identifying shortfalls in headcount and rectifying as soon as possible within the team in conjunction with the production supervisor.
  • Able to coach, mentor and develop the team to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
  • Hold team briefs, on the job training and one-to-one meetings.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • Previous leadership, organisational and team management skills gained within a manufacturing production environment – manual assembly line environment highly desirable.
  • Experience in or understanding of utilising Lean tools (5S, Standard Work, Set up Reduction, Visual Management).
  • Able to coach, mentor and develop a team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity to include 1-1 experience, team briefs output and KPI management.
