Reporting to the Head of Product Support, this an exciting opportunity to apply your administrative, customer service and coordination skills.  You will conduct a variety of tasks to include the inputting, collation and management of customer orders, maintaining price lists, providing weekly reports and handling customer queries and complaints.

Reporting into the Director of Programme Management, the Project Manager will have overall responsibility for managing a number of high profile customer projects and adhering to all contractual, commercial & technical aspects. Reporting to the NPD Procurement Manager, you will act as one of three commodity experts in the New Product Development (NPD) team in investigating available technologies and materials within the plastic and composites category as the subject matter expert.  Via engagement of potential suppliers, you will manage the full NPD cycle from concept development through to full production supply including product approval, capacity planning and full life cycle cost management. 

You will manage the supplier relationship from initial engagement, supplier approval, product development, approval and production readiness.  Generating and effectively maintaining supply chain risk assessments is an essential responsibility within this position as well as ensuring all company business policies are adhered to.
  
To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • Purchasing and / or engineering experience within the sourcing of technical plastics and composite technologies.
  • New product development experience to include supplier selection, product approval and transfer to production.
  • Excellent supplier relationship management to include competency development, risk assessment and performance management.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering high value category strategies including stakeholder involvement across engineering, operations and marketing functions.
  • A clear appreciation of cost drivers and appropriate cost management techniques.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, as the Finance Analyst, you will support our Engineering, Design, Programmes and Operations departments via reporting, planning, project accounting and analysis in understanding and protecting their revenue and cost base.  You will be a business partner to each department to optimise their levels of efficiency, and drive improvements.  You will develop reporting structures and KPIs that are simple and accurate to highlight operational risks, commercial opportunities and aid Senior Management decision making.

You will support Engineering and Procurement in the set up of commercially viable and technically feasible bill of material targets for products to best monitor the progress of cost down initiatives and achieving set targets in time for production launch. 
 
An essential part of the role is to support the annual and quarterly budgeting and re-forecasting process and liaise with the finance team to ensure the weekly and monthly cash flow forecast reflects the latest project expenditure forecast.  You will also participate in the Month End and Year End processes, and liaise with Auditors during statutory audits.
 
To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • At least part qualified accountant, preferably CIMA.
  • Demonstrable experience with Project Costing and Project Accounting, ideally within a product design and engineering environment.
  • Comfortable with using ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel Skills, including Financial Modelling.
  • Positive can-do attitude, with strong inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A forward thinker, with the ability to understand detail without losing view of the bigger picture.
  • Diligent, with excellent planning and organisation skills.

To be successful in this position you will have / be;

  • An A level grade in English or equivalent, Degree desirable but not essential.
  • Significant experience in bid writing within a regulated industry and technical environment.
  • Previous exposure within an aviation / cabin interior environment highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex bid processes and RFP responses.
  • Previous experience of marshalling appropriate business resources to support bids.
