Reporting into the Financial Controller, as the Design and Project Analyst, you will support our Engineering, Design, Programmes and Operations departments via reporting, planning, project accounting and analysis in understanding and protecting their revenue and cost base.  You will be a business partner to each department to optimise their levels of efficiency, and drive improvements.  You will develop reporting structures and KPIs that are simple and accurate to highlight operational risks, commercial opportunities and aid Senior Management decision making.
 
As the Design and Projects Analyst you will support Engineering and Procurement in the set up of commercially viable and technically feasible bill of material targets for products to best monitor the progress of cost down initiatives and achieving set targets in time for production launch. 
 
An essential part of the role is to support the annual and quarterly budgeting and re-forecasting process and liaise with the finance team to ensure the weekly and monthly cash flow forecast reflects the latest project expenditure forecast.  You will also participate in the Month End and Year End processes, and liaise with Auditors during statutory audits.
 
To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • At least part qualified accountant, preferably CIMA.
  • Demonstrable experience with Project Costing and Project Accounting, ideally within a product design and engineering environment.
  • Comfortable with using ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel Skills, including Financial Modelling.
  • Positive can-do attitude, with strong inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Across our two office buildings on site, you will carry out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying bins.  You will clean the wash rooms, toilets, offices and meeting rooms.  You will also load and empty the dishwashers daily and ensure that the microwaves, fridges and surface areas in the staff kitchens and canteen are properly cleaned and presentable.
 
To accompany the daily tasks you will also be responsible for periodical cleaning, reporting any maintenance tasks and restocking of the soap dispensers and hand towels.  You will ensure that cleaning liquids are mixed to the correct and safe quantities and pay strict attention to all other Health and Safety Regulations. 
 
To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • Previous cleaning experience within a similar environment.
  • The ability to follow instruction and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • A thorough understanding of using different tools and chemicals within differing cleaning processes.

  • An Engineering degree and significant post-graduate experience within certification.
  • Previous experience of applying certification activities to aircraft seating or aircraft interiors.
  • Demonstrable experience of writing and reviewing test plans, reports and qualification documents.
  • The ability to analyse and recommend a course of action and/or provide innovative solutions.

  • Experience of authoring modification paperwork for an Aerospace application.
